Welcome to the North East Region
The North East Region offers a relaxed yet formal meeting atmosphere with falconers and guests meeting in the relaxed atmosphere of the Nags head, Sedgefield. The group meets initially in the bar then moves in to a more ‘formal’ meeting which follows a prepared agenda allowing for input from all. After the ‘formal’ meeting the group retires once again in to the bar area where everyone enjoys a drink or two in the company of fellow enthusiasts.
The region hosts a range of falconers with a diverse range of experience from complete beginners to the very experienced. We always like to encourage new members and you will be made to feel welcome and introduced to fellow falconers, we will also encourage you to come along on field meets either flying or as a guest as this can be a great insight into falconry for the beginner.
Our regional members fly a range of birds from Falcons, Harris Hawks, Redtails, Goshawks to Golden Eagles a diverse relaxed group, we’d encourage anyone to join.
