Avian Influenza – 25th December
On the basis of veterinary advice the Hawk Board asks Falconers to stop all flying activities and to isolate their birds of prey from any direct or indirect contact with wild birds or animals.
Flying at quarry is now considered particularly hazardous and risks the
welfare of your hawks and falcons.
Please follow the preventative advice from DEFRA/APHA as published on their websites.
The Hawk Board will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
